notebook Compaq Presario V3320TU - tulisan seri 2

Sudah hampir 5 bulan pakai Compaq V3320TU, belum ada keluhan yang signifikan terkait dengan performa nya, hanya saja ada beberapa permasalahan yang sebenarnya cukup mengganggu juga, diantaranya :

- masalah pada harddisk access yang masih lamban karena masih menggunakan akses Paralel. Kenapa kok masih paralel, padahal di spec nya dituliskan harddisk SATA / serial ??
Hal ini disebabkan oleh tidak adanya driver serial yang mustinya disertakan dalam pembelian notebook ini. Jika fitur SATA diaktifkan melalui BIOS, dan tidak ada drivernya, maka alhasil notebook ga akan mau booting / masuk ke sistem operasi, dia akan mengeluarkan error boot failure, tapi jika fitur SATA di disabled, maka notebook dapat berjalan seperti biasa. Yang menurut teman seperjalanan, dibutuhkan driver SATA untuk memakai fitur tersebut. Cape dee

- tampilan grafik yang rendah (32mb), padahal mustinya bisa sampai 128mb. So kalau dipakai untuk maen game, ya jangan ngeluh kalau gambar terlihat kurang detail atau agak burem, perpindahan grafik yang lambat sehingga gambar ga berjalan smooth. Oya, notebook ini pakai Intel GMA tipe 950, dan harap diperhatikan kalo grafik card ini sudah akan usang kalau dipake untuk game2 terbaru semacam PES 2008, kenapa bisa begitu ? karena GMA950 tidak bisa support pixel shadder 3.0 / versi terbaru dari shader.

- wireless yang lamban, ga tau kenapa waktu aq bandingkan akses internet wireless pake wifi dengan notebook teman sebelah, untuk kecepatan akses lebih cepat punya dia (ctt: BenQ, HP Pav, Mac) dan penerimaan sinyal wireless lebih banyak punya mereka, hiks2, ada apa inii..

- satu lagi, dvd rom agak bising kalo dipake buat CD yang memakai label tempelan ( bukan print), suara putaran disk sangat berisik sekali, kadang bahkan ga mau membaca disk, apalagi yang bajakan :P, terpaksa de pake yang eksternal aja, daripada merusak rom

- satuuu lagi, driver ga dikasiy pake CD lo, tapi di kopi ke harddisk nya, jadi jangan lupa copi dulu ke media lain sebelum harddisk nya di format

Rabu, 19 Desember 2007, menjelang hari libur panjang Idul Adha dan Natal. Sudah dipastikan tiket kereta ke Malang udah ludes 1 bulan sebelumnya, hiks hiks, telat lagi niy beli tiketnya. Sudah tau jalur Gajayana eksekutif banyak peminatnya, ga ngantri sejak dulu aja. Upss, tapi tunggu dulu, udah ada calo yang standby di stasiun, seperti biasa menawarkan tiket ( ga tau niy, asli apa nggak tiketnya ).

Belum lama ini, baru dapat rejeki limpahan PDA Dopod 838pro ( versi lama - second pula :)) dari seorang temen yang baru juga kenal :)). Tapi lumayan juga, meskipun baru kenal, orangnya jujur dan apa adanya (weleh), Dopod yang dijualnya kondisinya sesuai dengan yang dipromosikannya, masih muluss seperti baru, apalagi kalo digosok2 lagi, hueehuehueu. Padahal dia di Surabaya, jadi istilahnya seperti beli kucing dalam kardus (karung maksudnya), ga tau barangnya seperti apa, hanya tau dari foto yang entah bener apa nggak dan dari penjelasan temen ku itu yang entah bener juga apa nggak (ya untungnya kok bener). Jadilah akhirnya negosiasi nurunin harga jualnya :)), dan sampelah barangnya di kost.

Tapi baru aja dapet yang ini, udah keluar lagi yang versi barunya, pake WM6, tapi katanya orang2, WM5 bisa diupgrade ke WM6 juga, tapi nggak tau kuat apa nggak processornya, mustinya siy kuat, 400Mhz siy. Lagian paling banyak pake pasti sms sama call aja, fungsi laennya pasti sedikit lebih jarang dari duo most used function itu.
Bicara kelebihan, Dopod 838pro ini memiliki beberapa fungsi yang menambah kemampuannya, diantaranya :

Stress on saturday

Sudah seminggu lamanya muter- muter di internet nyari setting buat pda biar bisa dipake wireless modem, teteppp aja sampe akhir minggu ga bisa konek. Padahal hampir semua referensi menjelaskan metode yang sama, anehnya, pada saat di coba sendiri, pda ku tidak berjalan sebagaimana yang harusnya seperti dijelaskan dalam buku petunjuk. Hari sabtu ini kucoba ulangi lagi setting wireless, mungkin aja sedikit beruntung bisa konek. Mulai dari jam 7 pagi sampe jam 12 siang, ga ada perubahan sama sekali. Tetep aja notebook ga mendeteksi pda sebagai modem, anehnya, waktu dipakai ActiveSync, pda berjalan sebagaimana mestinya. Bener- bener deh, bikin pusing pastinya, padahal udah bayangin ngerjain sedikit kerjaan kantor biar hari rabu bisa mulai cuti dengan tidak ada kerjaan yang nanggung. Tapi kayaknya hari senin & selasa musti nglembur biar semua kerjaan selesai sebelum cuti.
Sebagai referensi bila ada yang mmbutuhkan ( sebenernya di google juga banyak siy ), untuk setting wireless modem di Windows Mobile 5 bisa merujuk ke situs ini "http://www.geekzone.co.nz/chiefie/1924".
Masih jam 12 siang, masih sempat untuk mencoba lagi setting wireless.
Oya, sedikit informasi juga, untuk pemakai WM5 yang ingin menjadikan wireless modem, untuk pertama kali koneksi dengan PC / notebook dan dideteksi modem pda nya, langsung saja diinstall driver modemnya, soalnya kalo tidak, kemungkinan akan terjadi kejadian seperti punyaku, pda tidak akan dideteksi lagi modemnya ( karena waktu pertama kali mendeteksi, tidak langsung di install driver ). CMIIW :)

[ EPL News ] Rob Styles mengakui kesalahannya yang fatal

Dikutip dari liverpoolfc.tv, wasit Rob Styles yang memberikan penalti kontroversial pada Chelsea pada pertandingan bigmatch melawan Liverpool akhirnya mengakui kesalahannya dalam memberikan keputusan. Dan atas kesalahanya, Rob dikeluarkan dari list wasit dalam pertandingan EPL minggu depan. Berikut kutipannya :

Rob Styles has been dropped from next weekend's Barclays Premier League refereeing list after his penalty blunder at Anfield on Sunday.
Styles has admitted he made an error in awarding Chelsea a second half penalty which allowed them to draw level after Fernando Torres had given Liverpool the lead.

Referees chief Keith Hackett has now confirmed Styles will be given next weekend off following the fall out from the controversial decision.

"I spoke to Rob this morning and obviously he is extremely disappointed with the decision and admitted he got it wrong. I have left a message with Rafael Benitez to apologise," said Hackett.

"Having looked at a video and seen a better angle and a better view, clearly he (Styles) now recognises that he got it wrong and he's deeply apologetic for that. I think, in fact, he too will be making contact with Liverpool in order to offer his apologies."

Pada jam 11.00 WIB telah berlangsung pertandingan big match Premier League untuk minggu ini antara Liverpool vs Chelsea. Pertandingan berlangsung dengan panas dan keras hingga wasit musti mengeluarkan 9 kartu kuning untuk kedua tim (4 untuk Liverpool dan 5 untuk Chelsea). Goal pertama dicetak oleh Fernando Torres yang mendapatkan assist dari Steven Gerrard, dengan menempatkan bola pada tiang jauh Cech, meskipun saat itu Tal ben Haim terus menghalangi aksinya.

Kedudukan 1-0 untuk Liverpool tetap bertahan sampai pertengahan pertandingan. Tetapi petaka Chelsea terjadi pada second match dimana wasit Rob Styles memberikan hadiah penalti yang kontrovesial pada Chelsea melaui insiden yang melibatkan Steve Finnan dan Malouda. Dari video juga kelihatan kalau insiden itu sangat sangat tidak adil untuk diberikan penalti, tapi wasit tetaplah wasit. Lampard berhasil melakukan eksekusi penalti, dan membuat kedudukan menjadi 1-1 sampai akhir pertandingan. Hasil yang mengecewakan buat Liverpool, gara- gara wasit yang bo*oh :(.

Haduh, mimpi apa ya semalamnya, tiba- tiba saja hari itu pengen jalan- jalan ke mall, dan ujug- ujug kok ya beli laptop, padahal ga ada persiapan apa- apa, bawa duit banyak juga nggak, lihat referensi juga sekilas, tiba- tiba langsung masuk aja ke salah satu counter laptop yang ada di ambassador mall. Dan dalam waktu kurang dari 15 menit, transaksi jual beli sudah terjadi, bener- bener lagi ngawur, kok ya langsung yakin buat beli padahal sebelumnya ga ada niat ke mall buat beli laptop. Tapi apa daya, laptop udah di packing, jadi mau ga mau musti bayar ke mereka :(. Dan anehnya lagi, saat itu ga banyak tanya, dan akibatnya waktu udah di rumah jadi bingung sendiri karena ga berhasil nginstal OS :)).

Sebenarnya sebelumnya udah pernah sedikit membanding- bandingkan harga laptop untuk platform intel core 2 duo, dan hasil dari perbandingannya ternyata memang HP Compaq V3320TU ini bisa disebut punya harga paling rendah dibandingkan laptop core 2 duo merk lainnya - kurang lebih 7,9 jutaan. Cost 8,9 jutaan. Designnya lumayan bagus, oranye vs putih, tapi gampang kotor. Temanku punya satu model yang begini. Dilihat dari luar emang bagus, tapi ga tau bagian dalemnya karena belum pernah nyoba.

Dari 7 list di atas, sebenarnya masih ada juga laptop core 2 duo dengan cost < 10 juta, list di atas hanya cost laptop core 2 duo yang termurah dari masing- masing brand. Dan ternyata baru tau kalo HP Compaq V3320TU bukan yang termurah , hehehe :). Tapi gpp, V3320TU sudah cukup memuaskan, selain core 2 duo, kelebihan lainnya ada pada casingnya yang anti gores, keyboardnya yang lumayan empuk, dan speaker altec lansingnya. Untuk spec lain, sudah hampir sama dengan core 2 duo lainnya. Sayangnya ga ada webcam, padahal sudah kepingin dari dulu :(.

Oya sebagai tambahan jika ada yang pengen V3320 juga, dalam penjualan tidak dilengkapi cd driver lo, jadi ntar dikopiin sama mas penjualnya (mohon disimpan baik- baik, karena jika tidak pasti akan kebingungan nyarinya), driver meliputi sound, vga dan network. Jika tidak ada driver dari penjualnya itu, bisa dipastikan laptop nya akan bisu, dan tertutup dari dunia luar ( internet ), untuk layar masih akan jalan walaupun tanpa driver. Untuk mempermudah para pemakai yang laen, driver nya bisa di download di sini deh.

V3320TU ini menurut pembuatnya, diklaim sudah bisa diinstal sama Windows Vista dan periferalnya sudah compatible. Karena masih newbie dan secara ga mau macem- macem, aq cuma install OS Windows XP yang sudah umum di pasaran. Pada awalnya laptop ini cuma dikasih FreeDOS, jadi Windows XP nya sudah pasti musti beli license nya dulu lah. Kalo baru aja beli, laptop ini cuma punya satu partisi di C, jika mau dibagi- bagi lagi musti pake fdisk nya DOS. Kemudian baru di format deh harddisknya, dan siap untuk diinstal OS, tapi pastikan memakai cd OS bootable, karena kalo tidak sudah pasti error 'missing operating system'.
